We at Karam Foundation stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and all those who are protesting the inhumane murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor. One of Karam’s core beliefs is that freedom, dignity, and self-determination are the rights of every human being on the planet. Yet, the black community in America has been systematically oppressed for decades and has experienced far too many injustices and tragedies at the hands of racial discrimination.

Now is not the time to stay silent. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, and many others devoted their lives to rid society of racial injustice, but it is clear that there is more work to be done. It is our collective mission to recognize and bring awareness to the social disparities that plague our world. Our Black brothers and sisters are demanding to be heard. Stand with them, listen, and do your part to amplify the voices of those unheard.
