Last week, we shared Ferhad’s story of radical generosity and its power—when multiplied—to heal societal wounds. Today, we want to extend an opportunity to you—to invite you to join us in giving everything to those who have lost everything. We invite you to join The Journey.
This is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
Have you found yourself feeling helpless lately—wanting to make a change but not knowing how? As the global community is faced with issues after issues, it can be challenging to know how to be of service. The Journey is your chance to have an impact. By joining The Journey, you become a member of a global community standing up for refugees—to ensure their futures are full of opportunity—and building bonds of interconnectedness across borders.
What is The Journey?
The Journey is a community of monthly givers—our most dedicated supporters—committed to walking alongside Syrian refugee mothers, fathers, and children on their pathways to leadership. Members of The Journey do not merely support these leaders financially, but they grow alongside them and alongside us as an organization. When you join, you gain access to exclusive content—stories, projects, videos, and a quarterly magazine—bringing you closer than ever to the communities we serve. The Journey bridges the gap between supporter and community, understanding that we are all on our own journeys and that we can all benefit from each other.
How do you define a ‘leader?’
A leader is any individual you empower for the future by accessing higher education and/or innovative and competitive job skills through Karam programs. We currently have 2,673 individuals on their pathway to leadership!
Why The Journey?
Rather than provide short-term aid, we invest in long-term solutions by building pathways to leadership for Syrian refugee communities. There is no other way to ensure a future for Syrians than by providing them the opportunity to fulfill their potential. Leaders are not born, they are made, built, and empowered. It does not happen overnight. In fact, it takes an average of seven years to build a Syrian refugee into a leader. While a one-time donation is incredibly useful, a sustained commitment allows us to ensure a future for each of these leaders. It allows us to fulfill a promise.
It allows us to grow with them.
When you join The Journey, you embody the value of radical generosity and show you believe in its ability to build a bridge to a better tomorrow. On World Refugee Day, we came together to celebrate our shared humanity. But that bond cannot last just a day; it must last a lifetime. It cannot be done without you.
